Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Graphics Designer. The professional should be an imaginative Illustrator and InDesign Specialist. The task is to create captivating and visually stunning designs for the interior and cover of a children’s book. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of producing high-quality designs for Kindle books, paperbacks, and audiobooks. They must have a keen understanding of Amazon’s specific requirements for each type of cover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing high-quality, attention-grabbing covers for Kindle books, paperbacks, and audiobooks
- Creating visually engaging and age-appropriate illustrations for the interior of the children’s book.
- Incorporating vibrant colours and imaginative elements to captivate the target audience.
- Ensuring that all designs meet professional standards and effectively market the book.
- Providing three different design concepts for the book cover and making necessary revisions based on feedback.
- Applying the final design to all three formats (Kindle book, paperback, and audiobook).
- Delivering both source files and final JPEG files for each format.
- Adhering to project timelines and providing designs within specified deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience creating high-quality designs for Kindle books, paperbacks, and audiobooks.
- Skill in using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and other relevant design software.
- Strong understanding of Amazon’s requirements for book covers in various formats.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative design concepts.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with authors and team members.
